2026 JACKSONVILLE PLANNING GUIDE

What do pavers
really cost?

A practical way to build a budget, compare estimates and understand why one Jacksonville paver project may cost more than another.

Jacksonville paver installation commonly falls around $15–$30 per square foot.

That broad 2026 planning range appears across current Jacksonville contractor guides for professionally installed patios and general paver work. It is not a PPM quote, and some straightforward work may fall outside it while premium stone, difficult access, major demolition, drainage, steps, coping or specialty features can move beyond it.

Planning exampleIllustrative installed rangeWhat changes it
400 sq. ft. patio$6,000–$12,000Access, demolition, layout, paver selection and borders
800 sq. ft. pool-deck area$12,000–$24,000Coping, deck removal, drainage, stone choice and pool details
1,000 sq. ft. driveway$15,000–$30,000Concrete removal, base, vehicle load, street transition and pattern

These examples multiply area by a broad local planning range. They are not offers or guaranteed prices. A site-specific written estimate is necessary.

Seven factors that move the price

  1. Demolition: removing concrete, old pavers, decking or unsuitable base adds labor, equipment and disposal.
  2. Access: narrow gates, screened enclosures and hand-carried materials slow production.
  3. Base and grading: excavation depth, soil conditions, compaction and elevation corrections affect everything above.
  4. Drainage: drains, tie-ins, slope correction and water-management coordination can be essential scope items.
  5. Materials: standard concrete pavers generally cost less than premium formats, porcelain or natural stone.
  6. Details: borders, curves, inlays, steps, walls and coping require more cuts and craftsmanship.
  7. Project size: small jobs still carry mobilization, equipment and delivery costs, so their per-foot rate can be higher.

How to compare two paver estimates

Make sure the proposals describe the same square footage, demolition, excavation, base material and depth, compaction, bedding material, paver manufacturer and series, pattern, border, edge restraint, drainage assumptions, joint sand, cleanup and warranty. A low number that omits important preparation is not the same scope.

Build a realistic budget before choosing materials

Measure the usable area, list demolition and access concerns, note drainage problems and separate must-have features from future upgrades. Then reserve room for unknown conditions or changes. PPM can help organize the project around how the space will be used and identify which design choices provide the most value.
